Presentation Sponge City Seminar Shanghai


SMARTLAND presented their approach and 7 years of Chinese experience in Sustainable Urban Development and Landscape Design at the Sino-Dutch Sponge City Development seminar in Shanghai (中荷-上海海绵城市发展研讨会). ​


The seminar was held at the Aqua-tech China 2017, an international water treatment platform where governments, institutes and companies meet together to exchange the experience in water industry. The goal of the seminar was to shift away from the planning side and focus more on lessons to be learned from implementation and experiences of Sino-Dutch technical sponge city projects in China.

This is the second event in the sequence Sino-Dutch Sponge City Development seminars was organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment of the Netherlands Embassy of the Netherlands in Beijing, Consulate-General of the Netherlands in Shanghai; and co-organised by Shanghai Coordination Centre of World Cities Day; Science and Technology Committee of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing, Urban-Rural Development and Management; Science and Technology Committee of Shanghai Municipal Water Authority and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment representatives in China (Dutch Embassy and CG Shanghai).
